Florida Statutes and Administrative Rules

The Florida Not-for-Profit Corporations Act
Note:  Most Florida common interest ownership communities are legally structured as not-for-profit Florida corporations.  In such communities Florida Chapter 617, "Corporations Not For Profit," applies in addition to chapters relating to the specific type of community.  Consult your association's legal counsel if you have questions about whether Chapter 617 applies to your community.
